Valley of Spartanburg Veterans Committee
The Valley of Spartanburg Veterans Committee (VSVC) was formed to help develop innovative programs and services for our South Carolina ilitary veterans and their families. Our goal is to present, promote and teach the public of all the sacrifices that these brave men and women endured to protect our freedom, and to show respect to all of our past, present and future veterans.
The VSVC will attend, post and display the flag of our nation at any requested functions related to veterans organizations, schools or Masonic Lodges. We will do our best to help any Masonic veteran when called for aid, contact our Masonic brothers to see how they are, offer transport to Masonic meetings and keep them informed of Masonic news.
Once a year the VSVC will host a Masonic Veterans Appreciation Dinner for all Brother veterans and their guests. This dinner can be held at any Masonic Lodge that request the VSCS to sponsor this fellowship dinner, in writing.
A list of all current and past Masonic veterans will be kept by this committee and submitted to the Grand Lodge for proper acknowledgment for their service to our great country. Any Masonic Lodges that would like to start or participate with VSVC can contact the chairman, Brother Lou Santos, 32°, at biglou7755@ymail.com or cell number 860-597-7148.
We, as Scottish Rite Freemasons, recognize the service and sacrifices the members of our armed services have made and are making. It is with heartfelt gratitude we acknowledge and support these brave men and women. Let us all reflect on those freedoms we enjoy and give thanks all veterans for their service to our great country.
