Dear Martha Simpson McDade:
It gives me great pleasure to congratulate you upon being elected a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Fellowship is one of the highest forms of recognition given by ASHA of an individual’s accomplishments, and is public declaration of your outstanding professional achievements. Tommie Robinson, your nomination sponsor, will receive a copy of this letter and is asked to notify the co-sponsors.
Individuals to receive awards by the Association will be formally recognized with a presentation at the Awards Ceremony on Friday, November 16, 2012, at the ASHA Convention in Atlanta, GA. As we draw closer to the Convention, you will receive further instructions and information from the Convention and Meetings office regarding rehearsals, request for a photograph of yourself, and other logistical information. It is very important for you to adhere to the deadlines for requested information since the time needed to print your certificate and prepare information for publication is limited. If you are unable to attend the Convention this year, we will be happy to mail the certificate to you after the Convention.
ASHA Fellows, who so wish, may use this designation in the following format in their signature block:
Mary Jones, MS, CCC-SLP
ASHA Fellow
On behalf of the Committee on Honors, I wish to express my most sincere congratulations to you.
Sincerely,
John A. Ferraro, PhD
Chair, ASHA Committee on Honors
